Store lost all formatting and images but links work

Note it all works but there is no formatting, images, etc.

 

This seemed to coincide with installing (then deleted to see if would fix) the PayPal IPN module to solve the return to merchant issue.

 

All files and images are present in respective folders; permissions seem fine. There is a note on the Admin panel that we are protected by an unknown SSL certificate, I believe that is new but am not certain - just want to give all information I can. When you right click and choose 'properties' over a missing image, the URL starts with https://.

 

Your insights and suggestions much appreciated.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

host error log lists:

PHP Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'allitdig_osc1@localhost'

(Using password: YES) in /home/allitdig/public_html/store/includes/functions/database.php on line 19

 

I tried editing the database.php file but did not seem to chande things so put existing one back in place.
