double_d77 Posted November 8, 2005 Share Posted November 8, 2005 Guys/Girls, I've been doing some mod_rewrites on my site, I've used the .htaccess to do the rules, and when I key in the new static url, it picks the product up I want. But the problem is that when you are in the shop and look around, the static url changes back to the dynamic url. I am hoping to improve my serps for some products but it seems that the rewrite hasn't worked??, as the bots will still spider the dynamic url and not my new static ones. I came to this conclusion as when you hover over the products, the url in the bottom of the window comes up with the dynamic url and not the one I created and also when you click the product it is the dynamic that is in the address bar. I prefer Ultimate SEO to the others for what that's worth.
