comptech#1 Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Hello. I am very new to osCommerse and I am having some issues with the whole configuration. So far I have the following senario: 1. Windows 2003 Enterprise server with Active Directory 2. PHP 4.4.1 installed 3. MySql 5.1 installed but not configured to accept data 4. OsCommerse 2.2 on the server 5. IIS 6 installed and configured 6. ports are all open through my hardware firewall The server is a test bed (will be used for my business once I get more familiar with it), and the issues I am running into are that in the PHP.ini file I am suppose to set the global_register in order to view the PHP files from the web. However in reading it says that due to security issues with global_registers turned on, sensitive data could be seen. When I have actually turned on the global_registers, the "configure.php" (when viewing on the web) file states a "FATAL ERROR has occured in PHP.ini. Please turn global_registers on." There is also an error message that I get based on the virtural directory. Basically saying that I am not allowed to view the page. And this is the install page. I have read the documentions of osCommerse, but there really is nothing addressing this type of issue. The documents also are geared towards Linux and Apache systems. I do know Linux and Apache, but my server is not on them. I have also read that Dreamweaver cannot view the PHP in a preview sort of way, and has to be fully uploaded to the server. Since Dreamweaver is installed on this server for testing purposes I just save the files in the www folder. This looks like a very powerfull tool, and would greatly benefit my company, but in order for me to implement this all the great assistant I can get from the experts here would be greatly appreciated. I am a Computer Science major (Network Admin) and unfortunately e-Commerse websites are not geared towords us. Thank you in advance for any and all help you can provide me. Andrew
