takoda Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 :o Hey Hey, I tried going to the osCommerse store area and I recieved these warnings and I have no clue as to how to fix them, could someone please help me with this? 1) Warning: Installation directory exists at: /home/www/star-friends.org/OSCommerse/install. Please remove this directory for security reasons. I don't know how to remove this from my directory. I don't even know where my directory is. Eeek! 2) I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/www/star-friends.org/OSCommerse/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. Could someone please tell me where this file is and then how to go about setting the right user permissions?

Could someone please tell me where this file is and then how to go about setting the right user permissions? 1.) use your FTP program and login to your website..should beable to see folder call "OSCommerse" click in and there is a folder called "install", del it 2.) using your FTP program goto in your OSCommerse/includes, right click on the configure.php file and there should be an option that let's you set permission level..i set mine at 444
