Dolcev
Thanks Wombat, Yeah, I realise you can install Aphache and mySQL and PHP on the local PC but someone mentioned a nice little bundled package that sets up the environment really quickly. The reason I need this is because I need to setup osCommerce on 12 laptops for a bunch of sales reps who want to be able to surf the companys website without having to connect to the internet. That bring me to another question... how can I set this up so that the website on the laptops will update with any new information that is on the online site? Thanks again. If there all on a local network they could all browser the domain like " say 192.168.0.5/catalog" otherwise they would need to connect to the net, then they might as well dial in?? Dolcev
They'll be offsite and not connected to the net. I found a thread related to an osCommerce Stand Alone server - www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=164181 Looks like nobody has built this yet... don't know why i thought someone had already created this. Maybe if I have some time I'll do it
Dolcev
PHPdev5 solves this problem if anybody's interested. It's a bundled PHP/mySQL and Apache installation.

Whinny55
Hi Dolcev, Could you be thinking of XAMPP? It is a wonderfully prepackaged setup which will let you test osCOmmerce (or any PHP/MySQL type application) locally, and comes with everything you need, and is way simple to install. You can find it here: http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html I use it myself, and it sure does wonders... Whinny55
