rgvsean
Hi all. I have the site successfully running and have taken orders however OSC seems to decide to send some orders via e-mail and not others. For eg I get an e-mail off pay-pal to say the order has been paid for but when I check that customers file they haven't done an order. As such the stock level does not adjust. I e-mailed them and they said the site was fine, no problems and went through checkout ok. Any idea's?
julianpuje
The main problem with orders not being updated and e:mails not sent etc etc is usually due to the callback from whoever you use to take your payments. The sale will go through as normal hence the e:mail from Paypal, but if the customers does not get directed back to the checkout_success.php then your admin will not be updated with the sale and the order e:mail will not be sent either. The customer MUST finish at the checkout_success.php page to register the sale in your admin. HTH Julian A little knowledge is dangerous, I SHOULD KNOW. If Life Begins At 40, What ends???? rgvsean
Is this something that can be done by forcing cookies or something I'll have to live with? What do you reccommend for the cookie settings? Thanks for your answer.
Guest
Hi I have the same problem. My web hosts weren't much help and gave me the following reply... "We've noticed with certain cases where it get purchase through Paypal and not shown on the oscommerce but somehow it just works after a while with certain people, not sure what the problem is with regards to that, it could be the connection between paypal and oscommerce. Unfortunately, with this type of problem we wouldn't know what to advise you." If anyone anyone knows how to fix it (simply with out having to have knowledge of code etc.) that would be greatly appreciated
