table rate for shipping problem

i am having a problem with table rate shipping.

 

i am using the following in my shipping table:

 

0.5:3.99,5:5.99,10000:15.99

 

 

but everytime i check out my shippingon my website (not matter what i change the weight to) i always get 15.99 for the total shipping.

 

any ideas.

Is it displaying the correct weight in the checkout area? If not then you're tare may be set really high.

it doesn't show the wieght in the checkout area, it onlys gives the shipping price!

i think i have fixed it. i hav put my tare weight right down to 0.01.

 

would this cause any problems?

That's the likely culprit, the tare is the packaging weight that osc can add to any order. There is another entry in admin that can cause a problem too, it calculates two different shipping prices and goes with the higher one. It is the larger packages shipping percentage entry. Look it up in the knowlege base to find out what these two features do.
