Problems with viewing some items HELP!

When i click on some of the catagories on the left hand side and then choose the product then under "Let's See What We Have Here", I get this error. This is a new install too, so I have not had to change anything yet.

perhaps has something to do with the mysql version you're using. Do you know the version?
