shirtshifters Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Greetings, I'm trying to set up a store using the STS templating system but rather than just tables, I'd rather use frames for my site. Can anyone give me some technical advice on how I might do this? Every time I try, rather than getting the correct results, my $contents etc remain as $contents help help help!
mark27uk3 Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Hi Stephen, Why would you want to use frames instead of tables? As far as I know using tables will kill your seo. If anyone else can clarify this then please do. Mark Lifes a bitch, then you marry one, then you die!
shirtshifters Posted November 6, 2005 Author Posted November 6, 2005 The reason why I wanted to use frames is because I hate the way the whole screen refreshes every time you do anything. e.g. click on an "about me" option and the whole screen refreshes. It would look much more professional if just the centre frame updated. SEO?
noimad1 Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I would actually like to know if this is possible as well. I personally hate frames, and know that the search engines hate them. However, my customer wants a flash video at the top of the page (with sound) and the way it stands now everytime someone clicks on a page or category it has to reload that flash and sound..... Unless there is some other way around this (other then frames) that I don't know about??
