oscommerce doesnt really care if a product is in a main category or s sub category.

 

But if you look at the top of the page cPath is a good place to look :)

I guess I worded it wrong I ment how does OSC know id a CAT is a MAIN cat or sub CAT, but I see it is the parrent id field. I am trying to write a contrib and alos I have changed main cats and once in a whilw the old main cats show up. Even though they are not in the database anymore. I first thought it was my cache, but then I aw it on a pc theat had never gone to the site before. I hve optimized the database I hope this takes care of it...
