Adding Products

Hi,

 

I'm at the moment Adding products to some categories online... But for every product i need 4 different kinds of products so if i have 50 products that would be 200 times editing.

 

Is there a way to insert products easier like offline or editing a file in notepad. So i can do copy and past over and over again.

 

Also which file do contain the product listing...

 

Example :

 

B1-2002 - 10x15

B1-2002 - 13x15

B1-2002 - 20x30

B1-2002 - Als Bestand

 

Now i need to enter every line again and again.. if i could do a copy and page in a file offline than i only have to change the B1 to B2 etc etc.

 

THe other info like category etc are all the same.

If you look at your install directory there is the oscommerce.sql file. As long as you can run .sql scripts on your mySQL database server then all you need to do is find the part where they load the test products and mimic it for your needs. Then you just run the script and you will also always have a backup.

 

Look for lines like this:
