Help: pay per correspondence

I am working on an online counseling site. People would purchase a session which includes so many correspondences. I am unsure how to go about this.

 

I had thought of e-mail but if I send them a response email they then have the address and could just send e-mails without paying for a session.

 

Someone suggested using a message board but I am unsure if I would need a separate board per client and if not would it be secure ensuring the privacy of each client?

I suggest custom coding a new module for the myaccount area with an option to use up purchased sessions. You should have the option in admin to post answers to the customers thread. Current bbs do not have post count restrictions.

Ack! I have no clue where to begin to do something like that. Could you direct me to someplace that would explain it?
