da8iwr Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I have searched the forums and found loads of stuff regarding this prob, but none of it works for me. Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file..........please set the right user permissions on this file All the other reports say go into your hosting panel and change the permissions. Well i have a shared hosting space, with a Helm panel on a windows server. Its excellent and works perfect for everything, i even have other OSC sites on this shared server that DOESNT bring up this error?? But i need to sort this out, is there any way i can stop it writing to the file from any other way, as i cant work out how to do it in helm if at all. Any help will be great Thanks
Guest Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 If you have FTP access to your account, get an ftp tool like Filezilla (free) and use it to set permissions. Once you're in to your files, just right click and click on File Attributes.
da8iwr Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 IM using Dreamweaver 2004, is there a way of doing it in there? Oh also, i have changed the site name in the admin panel, but it still says oscommerce at the top in the page title, how can i change that?? Many thanks
