ACE99 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 OsCommerce is great for building a robust online store and starting a nice small business. But what happens if that business hits the big time? What if your orders go from a few a day to 100-200 per day? At that point UPS worldship, the osC admin and QuickBooks just aren't going to cut it. I invite all those here at the osC forum to post comments on how they have integrated osCommerce into a backend solution for a mid-size business or growing business. How did you handle high order volume? What software package did you use? Some software solutions I've seen include: Everest Standard Edition NetSuite Endicia (for shipping)
Cyber2000 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 If your business has grown or is growing to that size then GOOD LUCK AND GREAT ! However, One would obvioulsy then have the finance to put into getting OSC up to date or invest in a product like Actinic or other good e-commerce package. I have to say though that as an award winning web developer, i have used all and found OSC to be by far the best and easiest around. It has it flaws but so do all the great ones. Anyone heard of Microsoft? LOL
