all attributes going to cart

when you clickon an attribute all the options go to the cart, not just one.

 

And once the 1 item has been purchased, I need them all to show that they are gone. In other words, I have 1 ball of yarn to knit. when someone picks a hat out of that yarn, I no longer ghave enough for a scarf, so I need the scarf option to go too. Does this make sense?

 

example:

Semi-custom slot in Black Peacock Targhee dyed by Mosaic Moon

- Pants Large/ XL

- Shorts NB/Small

- Soaker medium

 

I ONLY want the xl pants to show, not the shorts or soakers....please help! the prob is the other attributes are adding to the total.
