ancientmember Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I have an OSC store that sells regular merchandise and keycodes (virtual item) as well. I had someone written the keycode module which emails keycodes instantly as soon as payment is received. The module works flawlessly with a dummy credit card module that comes already built-in with OSCommerce. I've installed the paypal V1.0 module that was developed by an OSC team, but i couldn't make them work together--the store doesn't seem to receive paypal IPN and update the database. My store is not live yet. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Guest Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Hi I would advise against using Paypal altogether, check out - www.paypalsucks.com www.paypalwarning.com My brother has an OSC store and they froze his account, nearly put him out of business. All because somebody paid him with a stolen creditcard. Check out the sites above, my advice stay clear of Paypal.

I also advise against paypal, they do suck...they can freeze your account for any reason they want to and can keep you from getting your money for up to 6 months if they get a wild hair up their arse. find a different merchant account is my suggestion. www.paypalsucks.com for more info and other solutions, I am not affiliated with this site, but they have some good info "I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings." ---Margaret Mead--- "The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer -- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer. --Ken Kesey"

I don't have one. a business license is usually only a few dollars, I got one for $5 at my local office. Go thru your bank and see what they suggest for a merchant account also.
