kru Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I'm primarily looking for suggestions from SEO 'experts' on how to improve my search engine rankings. However, I would also welcome constructive suggestions on how to improve the presentation of my site. Most of my time up to this point has been spent entering products, although I have put some work into the header. My Store I've seen some posts that reference search engine friendly urls. Is this easy to implement on a live site? Is it worthwhile? What does it do; get your product pages listed too? Is this not possible with the whole product_id_72 scheme? Thanks. -Kevin Add-Ons personally installed:Step by Step Manual Order -- Request Reviews -- Reviews in Product Listing -- Reviews in Product Display -- Review Approval System -- Leverage Browser Cache --Header Tag Controller -- Multilayer SEO Pop Out Menu -- Follow Us Box -- View All Products -- USPS Shipping Labels -- UPS Shipping Labels -- Monthly Sales/Tax Report --htacess Optimisation -- Remove Unused Images -- Master Password -- Admin Change Customer Password -- Database Backup Manager -- Zero Stock Report --Searchbox Search In Descriptions -- Easy Populate 2.76i -- Barcode Rendering -- Admin Sort By Model -- Products Purchased ReportAdd-Ons personally developed:Search for email address, etc in Orders -- Discontinue ProductAdd-Ons installed by others:View Counter -- Site Monitor -- Image Thumbnailer -- Database Optimizer -- Recaptcha -- Discount Coupons -- Add More Fields

Jack_mcs Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 From an SEO perspective, you need to install a meta tag contribution, like Header Tags. Search engine friendly contributions are fairly easy to install but are more for appearance than anything else. Go static. 3) REMOVE 'Discount Prices' ASAP from the title. This is the #1 item for search engines as it well....is the title. 3) sitemap 4) all products page Once the internal structure is setup start listing in directories.
