newbienewbie Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I must be a newb newb, I got oscommerce installed server side, set up the data base, connected fine. Now I want to edit the webpages with dreamweaver mx. I open up my index.php page to change some stuff.....and I see all th php scripts but no html info. I go to my site (firefox) and it shows all the boiler plate stuff, so I do a view source. Viola! I see the html stuff I need, but it doesn't show up when I open it in dreamweaver. What the heck am I missing?

What the heck am I missing? you have to use code view and then have fun sifting thru all the lines to find what you need to change, design view will show you very little because dreamweaver is html and php files will not display design view. I use dreamweaver for my files, but you have to do it all in code view. "I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings." ---Margaret Mead--- "The answer is never the answer. What's really interesting is the mystery. If you seek the mystery instead of the answer, you'll always be seeking. I've never seen anybody really find the answer -- they think they have, so they stop thinking. But the job is to seek mystery, evoke mystery, plant a garden in which strange plants grow and mysteries bloom. The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer. --Ken Kesey"
