Guest Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I tried to create a new test shop using a /test folder. My online store now has this error? Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'emmaser_osc2@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home/emmaser/public_html/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! I guess it must have deleted a file in my working shop as it was held in the root folder? Any quick way to fix this? Regards, Glen. www.emmaserotica.co.uk

Regards, Glen. www.emmaserotica.co.uk Check the database settings in catalog/inculdes/configure.php ensure the server, bd name, db user and db password are correct. Don't Post The Contents Of This File Here Because It Obviously Contains The Info To Access Your Database Have you tried accessing the admin section of your store, the admin section has it's own configure.php also containing your database details. If you can access the store admin then check the database details in catalog/admin/includes/configure.php and copy them to you stores configure file. I have had this problem before but was still able to access the admin so solved the problem. Failing that access your database and check the access details against the contents of your configure files including the prefix i.e mysql_osc1 I'm by far no expert and not sure if this will cure your problem but it cured mine, Hope it helps. p.s. If you have deleted the Configure.php file the extract a copy of oscommerce to your hard drive and upload the replacement after editing it.
Guest Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I can access the admin screen as far as the password. From here it seems to accept but then the same error screen comes up as before. I can use a tool to edit the php files but I've not touched the site in ages and I can't remeber how to fix this error as im sure ive seen it once before.

OK, you need to located the files above using cpanel, or whatever you use to check, add, delete and edit you individual files. Then check that the files in the previous post firstly exist on your site if not then add them, if they are there then edit the database info located in them.
CraziMon75 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I'm receiving the same error message: Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'txwed91_osc1'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/txwed91/public_html/store/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! I've checked the admin/configure.php and checked the dB information. Everything seems to be okay. But I don't see a 'catalog' section in my store. I'm unable to access the admin or the storefront.
alark Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 I am also getting the following error: Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: '[email protected]' (Using password: YES) in /hsphere/local/home/wwwblink/blinkpc.com/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! I see this whether trying to access my store or the admin side of the store. I haven't made any changes recently but just started seeing this error. If I try to change the database user info, etc in the config.php file, I still get the exact same error. Almost as if it is ignoring the changes I make. I desperately need to get the shop back up and going again. PLEASE HELP, I'm so confused at this point I don't know what else to check.

CraziMon75 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I'm having the same problem. Have you guys had any luck getting it fixed? Yeah, make sure that you are uploading the correct config.php files to the correct folders. I found out that my error was in that. If you are still having difficulties, contact me. I know someone who can really help out.
