Belu Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Just a quick question how long does it take to re-skin the entire site please? A rough estimation is cool, just looking at if its viable to do it and make it look non-templatish? Cheers Ben
♥Vger Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Well, the irony is that in order to make it look 'non-templatish' you have to apply a template to it. You can use STS (Simple Template System) or BTS (Basic Template System) and make your own template to use with those systems, or you can look around for free and/or paid-for templates to apply. Vger

Vger Sorry, should have been more specific. I will make the template and apply it to the site. Is it hard to interface it all together? Cheers
♥Vger Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 If you are more into html than css then go for STS. If you are more into designing with CSS go for BTS. Either way you need to build your template to work with the system and not expect the system to work with a template you designed before you decided which system to use. Vger
Belu Posted November 2, 2005 Author Posted November 2, 2005 is 10 hrs or 20hrs a better timeframe for the re-skin though? I am just looking at how long itll take but thanks for the tip :)

dahui Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 thanks for that mate :) Hopefully itll help cut time down. Cheers have a look at http://elflein-kosmetik.de/index.php I would say, wether you like it or not, it definately looks non osC standard. that took all in all about 3-5 hours for the pure design I made in photoshop before at created on that basis the studio site http://elflein-kosmetik.de/studio/cms you can switch on both by topright exit door so the design was allready kind of given and the css pics ... all available as the studio cms site was first build. but in the end it took me about 6 weeks to get everything to the actual state. like contribs, mails special funtions for german law like design of popup order after buying and the ability to print those out as a pre-receipt ... bla bla bla the pure design knowing html css and php is possible in lets say 5 to ... hours depending how complex it is. mainly you have to 'put hands on' nearly every file in catalog/ hopethat gives you a slight idea
