Open up the file includes>>languages>>english>>meta_tags.php and read the instructions inside the file. You can add your own meta tags for the main page and for general pages as well as add common metatags which will be added after the automatically generated ones. This contributions create automatic meta tags for most of the pages on your site. If you want to manualy add your own meta tags on product/category basis , Header Tags Controler is the contrib you want.
