How to change the Copyright and Powered By Ecommerce links at the bottom?

how to i change the text and the links at the bottom of my store which show copyright ecommerce and powered by ecommerce. i would like to change the text and also the links

First, the speech:

 

You're not supposed to modify the footer unless you've TOTALLY made your site look like it has nothing to do with OSC whatsoever.

 

NOW, the fix, lol:

 

Catalog/includes/languages/english.php

 

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the file and there you go.

Text changes are usually found in the language files. Dig into them and look around. The files match with the files by name, so try footer.php. Changing the link and Powered by statement can be done but there are rules you must follow. Your store must be changed enough from a "stock" store. The rules are spelled out, I think it's in the Documentation linked above.
