Help With Index

I have a template installed, I have moved the central product area up a bit as seen here: http://www.digi-mart.co.uk

There are still a couple of things I want to do:

1) I want to add a couple of lines of text directly below the main products box in the middle.

2) If possible I want to move the central box up a bit more to make it flush with the infoboxes left & Right.

3) I also want to add a link to the information infobox (bottom right) to point to a forum I will install soon.

4) I want to completely remove the catagories icons that appear at the top of the main page when you click a catagory in the catagories box.

5) Lastly I want to completely remove the all of the cartoonish icons wherever they appear as (my personal taste only) feel that they appear a little un-profesional.

If you can help with any or all of the above then it would be massively appreciated.

Probably best to ask each question on its own thread - you will get more answers.

In answer to question 1 try:

Thanks yesudo for your reply,

firstly i'm not sure about the contrib your recommended - it looks like it customizes the greeting on the index page depending on what type of customer is logged in. Whereas I just wish to add a couple of standard non dynamic text, Many Thanks though.

Secondly, I did consider separate post but didn't wish to monopolize the forum and annoy people. I thought that if people looked andcould help with any particular item then great.

Lastly, I know that there are only 4 items in my shop this because i'm getting it functional first but eventually I would like to increase the number of items displayed on the index page. At present I think it displays 6 or 9, maybe an increase of three would be good.

Once again I would to Thank You yesudo.
