Small ticket items and Paypal account?

Hi guys

 

I'm moving over from an ebay store to oscommerce, I've got it installed and the database set up, added a few products etc, changed the logo etc, just having a bit of a play :)

 

I'm selling custom t-shirts, ?10 items, so I'll start with paypal and nochex, I've selected paypal from the admin page and did a search on these forums for paypal to see what kind of account I need but it's a case of information overload!

 

I have a premier account at the moment but there's also a merchant account and paypal IPN.

 

I want to keep things a simple as possible for the buy so I plan on installing the PWA contribution today.

 

This is a small parttime business selling low value items so I didn't want to spend too much on payment schemes to start off with.

 

Which paypal acount do I need, is there big difference between Premier, Merchant and IPN?

To answer my own question, after more reading I'm going with the IPN contribution.

The one that came with OSC relies on users to press the continue button after they pay at the paypal site. If they don't hit continue, the order doesn't get added to the database. Then you get an email from paypal saying someone bought something, but you have no idea what it is. Then you have to call the customer, to ask what they ordered, that sucks.
