osCommerce

The e-commerce.

Looks like a lot of folks have had all sorts of trouble getting the Eway XML module to work, myself included.

I ended up giving up on it, and decided to go down the road of "off site" credit card verification instead.

I've managed to get it going, after writing my own Eway module from scratch ( doesn't use XML ) and extensively modifying several of the checkout pages.

It's convoluted and complex - but it means you don't need a secure server, dual instances of the same website, or a Windows based server ( bog standard Linux shared hosting... like most of us in the REAL world use ).

If anyone is at all interested I will post some details here. Might at least save someone the pain I went through. As far as I can tell, no one else has got this working so far, but I'd love to hear from anyone else who has! ;)

dug,

I am VERY interested in the details of linking to Westpac via Eway. I've been working with Drupal, took eWay's php routine and wrote an interface to it. I can get a transaction authorised, but have similar headaches with stock etc. I'd rather go back to oscommerce and your help would allow me to do that.

Any assistance you could give me would be very much appreciated. From what I can see, no matter what cart I use some hacking will be necessary. I am prepared to do that work if necessary, but would love to see your solution and hear your advice which may allow me to revert back to osCommerce.

Thanks and regards,

Sharon

Mate, i would appreciate your help with this...i think i'm gonna give up on the ewayXML module...

Can you give us a hand to set it up so it uses the eway shared CC site? The contribution for this doesn't seem to work.

Cheers mate.
