I spent about two weeks some months ago getting the gift voucher capability to work, but now I need the coupons too. The symptoms of the error are: When the code is entered and redeemed, the message reads "The coupon code has been successfully applied for" (I'm guessing it should read "The coupon code has been successfully applied for XX% off your purchase") And on the confirmation page, the discount hasn't been applied.
