Graveyard666 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I have a job interview later today and they need my portfolio on cd-rom, I have everything on it so far except my two OsC websites. Is it possible to place them on the cd and use the cd to navigate thru the site without being online? jeff
MarcoZorro Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Short answer yes..... Long Answer... its possible but not easy... you need to take a live linux cd then change it to add the store files to the cd distribution... you also need to change the mysql configuration to store session files into memory since the cd isnt writable.
Graveyard666 Posted October 31, 2005 Author Posted October 31, 2005 Marco, thanks for your reply. The job is more for website updates and graphic design rather than php programming, I just thought it would be easier having it on the cd-rom instead of a html page with a link to the site
♥Vger Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I'd take some screenshots and put them into a Power Point presentation for an interview. Vger
MarcoZorro Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I'd take some screenshots and put them into a Power Point presentation for an interview. This is a good idea :)
