solnishko Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 first: buying basket second: rental basket thank you for the answer
cannuck1964 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Why have two baskets? Instead, try adding into the same basket, different product types, then when processing the items i the checkout, process them based on the product type.... cheers, Peter M. But how do manage 2 different type of process? - for buying - standard action - for rental - download contract etc Alexandra
cannuck1964 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 the standard action needs no comment. The rental, is all you are doing is suppling a rental contract for the customer to sign? If this is all, then you could treat it as a downloadable product. Then when they checkout, the download linbk would be displayed after they purchased the item. The rental system, generally needs a queue and a start and end date (return date). As well you need some typer of system to manage when the product is expected back etc if rented out. cheers, Peter M Peter McGrath ----------------------------- See my Profile (click here) for more information and to contact me for professional osCommerce support that includes SEO development, custom development and security implementation
