Cant get it installed..

hi,

 

I have just tried to install osC for the first time, i have uploaded all the files ect get my database to connect ok.

 

/home7/sub003/sc14407-WILP/www/shop/catalog/ (is this a correct line for webserver root dir)

 

i then get this error a few pages later :

 

The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set.

 

Please perform the following actions:

cd /home7/sub003/sc14407-WILP/www/shop/catalog/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

cd /home7/sub003/sc14407-WILP/www/shop/catalog/admin/includes/

touch configure.php

chmod 706 configure.php

 

any help here would be greatly appriciated..

P.s (is there an actuall instalation guide)

You need to set permissions on both configure.php files to either 755 or 777 for the install to be able to write data to them - though you can try 706 if you like.
