linkot
I need to know what the maximum size the images (photos) of my products should be. I understand the small images are just squashed large images and I can adjust the settings ... although many of the small images are weird looking as they are either too short or too tall. Please direct me to information on IMAGES :) Thanks!
niknakgroup
How long is a piece of string? Basically, the small images should be of a size which easily fits in with your site design. The large image should be the necessary size to show your products effectively. Bear in mind that you want the popup of the large image to fit easily onto your users screen, so if your image is 2000 pixels wide they may have problems seeing it properly, and also your image will be massive in terms of the webspace used, so event he thumbnailed image will take an age to load. If you do decide to go for whopping large images, it may well be worth considering a thumbnailer contribution which will make smaller sized images for your category and product pages for quicker load times. Hope that gives you a good place to start from! Please note - if I have suggested a contrib above, it doesnt mean it will work! Most of the contribs are not ones I've used, but may be useful for your particular problem.... Have you tried a refined search? Chances are your problem has already been dealt with elsewhere on the forums..... if (stumped == true) { return(square_one($start_over) } else { $random_query = tep_fetch_answer($forum_query) }
HSMagic
There is a contribution called image stretch that is a must if you want to avoid squashed and out of proportion images.
