SSL Dual Hosting

After hours of searching, checking, testing. I created my own self signed certs & installed. Only to wonder why my modified variants of apache vhosting wasent working.. I ended up finding that apache2 with mod_ssl, regirgitates if the virtual hosting is done wrong.

Well I thought ok, I run webmin, so I have apache-ssl on here also.. I'll split hosts floating on the same path & all will be bliss.. well in playing I found that I could connect to my network IP 192.168.0.*** but not to my web IP. Hrm, I thought, I'v heard of ISP's blocking ports for fileshairing, naa.. I checked to make sure my router was configured right.

Well just to prove myself wrong I thought what the heck I'll change it to from 443 to 543, and wow was I suprised, my ISP blocks me from hosting https traffic nuttie eh?

Well in doing this I have ended up with 2 servers hosting the same content.

It's not live and prity much stock but I thought I'd leave it up for people to look at for the rest of today.

Later tonight I'm going to run through the confings & move it all to apache2 so don't expect aney links here to work much later than now.

You can see how cirtan ares of the shop don't grab images from the right host, and indoing so use the wrong URL's to boot!

I know this will work just fine on a vhost, but I'm prity sure someone else (might) run into this problem later on, or in there private playing, so insted of keeping the info in my head I'll shair it with the comunity. Though this might also be because I'm running the Register Globals patch also *shrug* Aneywas it's what I've got to shair about my experiences migrating from phpShop to oscommerce, I'm liking it alot so far :D

I'm sporting osCommerse 2.2.ms2

With these additions:

I worry about if take credit cards? I wonder if I make a shop that keeps track of how much product I have? If I find somthing good it'll be out of my budget, I'm trying to start a shop to make money not spend it..

Quot the raven "Never more." Get osCommerse never worry, or wonder again.
