thessrtech
Before I begin uploading contributions and modifying code I would greatly appreciate all of your input on the best way to perform the following things. Question 1: Can we add a Paypal address? and payment method, BBB Icons, etc Can we add a section or something that says we take paypal as well? I think that it will help generate some sales. I am also a member of the better business bureau and can put the BBB icon it as well. My paypal address for the site can be [email protected] can we just have an icon that says "pay now" and have the site open a window to paypal so they can pay right there. I get paypal requests all the time and assume we can do the same on the site. Let me know. Question 2: Can we add a Retail Pricing and possibly a percentage to show discount? Can we get the site to show regular or retail price? That way they can see the value or the savings they are getting. Just about every other site has retail and sale pricing. Thanks Question 3: How do we correct shipping? This is an order that i did to myself. We need to find out how to get the shipping to be correct. I think that i want to be able to calculate shipping for each invoice not by a flat rate by weight. Question 4: How do we recieve CC information? If the order is sent to my email address how do I get all the credit card information? As soon as we can make some adjustments to the site i will do several more test orders to make sure thatg everything is working right. Thanks Question 5: How do you insert a slot that adds CCV / Credit Card Verication #s? When someone does a credit card order we need to add a field so they can put in the CCV code. Maybe we can add and explaination of what the CCV is or put in a picture of it. I cant manually key a card without the ccv code. Thanks

Guest
Well, lot's of questions so maybe no one wants to dig in and answer all of them. 1. Yes, Paypal is an option in several ways. You can configure it from your stock installation or add a Contrib like the osCommerce Paypal IPN (search for that phrase). 2. There are many Contribs that offer discount in various ways in addition to some stock methods. 3. Can't help you here. You may want to be more specific about "correcting" shipping. Describe your problem. I offer free shipping all the time. Yes, it's figured into my costs but folks love that word FREE! 4. Read the Knowledge Base. If you accept cards at your store already, you may want to consider getting a payment gateway. Shop around, the prices will vary. Then your store will process cards for you instantly. There's a fee, of course, but you'll save time. time=money. 5. There's a Contrib for this.

Basically I want it to show, MSRP / Retail Pricing: $99.95 and Your Price: $79.95 You save 25% etc. 3. All of the items weigh different amounts so and are different sizes so shipping sizes vary. 4. We have a credit card processor in our store (physical storefront) so we could save money by just taking the cc numbers off the site and processing them in person, however I don't see where the orders go, are they just stored in the database? 5. Thanks should i search for ccv contribution?
