Shipping cost not showing up at checkout

Hi! :)

I'm setting up my first shopping cart in OSCommerce and I'm having problems with the shipping module as well as being unable to find where to set the default weight format (kg, lbs., etc.)

1. If I click on the shipping module link from the Administration page it shows that the UPS shipping option is enabled. That's the only shipping module enabled. However, when I try and test the cart by going through the initial purchase screens with a product that I have a weight on I always have a $0 amount for shipping. What am I missing?

2. When I read the online documentation it states that there is an option to define the default weight format in the Shipping/Packaging section under Administration/Configuration as the last value definition in that category. My last value definition is "Larger Packages - Percentage Increase."

I did check and there I have a shipping.php and checkout_shipping.php module installed.

Please help! What have I overlooked?

Thanks!

mkitson

I'm not sure if this will help. But I actually just came here looking for an answer to the same problem...and I think I just fixed it in my install.

Go into Admin -> Modules -> Shipping

UPS -> Edit

Make sure "Shipping Zone" is set to "--none--". Mine was set to Pennsylvania and UPS shipping info wasn't showing up on the checkout...but once I switched it to none it started showing up.

So you may want to give that a try...
