Attribute Pricing Problem - PLEASE HELP!

Hi,

Im having a problem with the pricing. Dependant on the length of the good I am selling the price is different, so I have an product attribute for 'Length' with 3 different lengths - each with its own price, represented by a drop down box. It looks as follows:

Length: "14 ($50)

"16 ($55)

"18 ($60)

The only problem is the actual product is set at $50 and when you click to buy the item at say "14 it comes up in the checkout as $0, if you select to buy "16 it come out at $-5

PLEASE HELP! I want to be able to obviously add "14 to cart and it be charged at $50 and so on.

I could obviously set the actual product price to $0 and add the prefix (+) but this will mean the product price will show as $0 on the website frontpage and the (+) will show, annoyingly, in the drop down boxes.

Many thanks - all suggestions will be greatly appreciated,

Ben

Why don't you set it up like

Length: "16 (+$5.00)

"18 (+$10.00)

and make clear in your product description or title that 14" is the default or ultimately do

Length: "14 standard (+$0.00)

"16 (+$5.00)

"18 (+$10.00)

In the products attributes section, your value price should be set to the price of the product and the prefix box should be blank.

Are they ?

HI,

When I try leaving the prefix blank with the price I want to charge in the price box - when yu add this to the cart it deducts that price from the price given to the product. Its like this:

Product price $50:

Attributes:

"14 (*blank*)

"16 ($55) - I select this option

"18 ($60)

*CHECKOUT*

It comes out at a total of ($-5)

When I add the prefix '+' it comes out at ($105)

I just want to be able to display the price of the attribute and charge at that price, I think using the ($+5) etc method isnt as effective for sellling.

IF ANYONE CAN ASSIST, IT WOULD BE HUGELY APPRECIATED, YOU CAN HAVE A DISCOUNT AT MY STORE WHEN ITS UP AND RUNNING! :D

Many thanks,

Ben

I am trying to do this also.

I have a product for sale for $24, and i have an attribute with a value price of $7 (with no prefix).

When this option is chosen, the checkout page shows $17.

I want to be able to sell the item for $7 if that attribute is selected.

Any help would be appreciated.

James

Why not set the main product price to zero then the price of the product to the product price +attribute price then use the don't show price if 0 contribution?

You could also use one of the show actual attribute price contributions and add the attribute prices the way they are suposed to be with either a + or -
