hay people i have a small but time consuming problem

the thing is i have entered all my products into my catalog but i relised it was not in the right catalog file so now i have to move them all into the file but just at view i can only do this one at a time and that will take me a year to move them all

so i was wandering if it was possible to move the whole list at once instead of one at a time

Thanks in advanced for any help

You could install the easy populate contribution. It lets you download your products with all the attributes as a csv file. If you are moving between stores, you'd need to install it twice and it takes a little while to set up. But it would be significantly less than a year :)

Hope that helps

you mean you added a bunch of products to one fiolder but not the other?

In that case I'd def do a database query to identify them, and then simply change the value of the category for these items to the new category ID in the database, using another script.

Depending on how many folders are affected ... this would be an hour or so???

if that is what he means, which is what I thought first, a few lines of sql statements will take care of it.
