I have what is probably a simple question just need to know the correct way to do this and what variables to enter. Also is it worth upgrading to the new beta version or should I stick to what I know?

Now I have no problems installing fresh

oscommerce and then installing sts ver 2.01 all works fine. I also have done quite a few sites this way.

Now I want to have more control over the product_info.php, I have successfully modified that template for the actual product display of one particular item, but I also want to control the way the categories look too. Example:

This page shows the basic catalog index page layout no problems there:

http://mayhemracingperformance.com/catalog/

Then this page I clicked on the first category:

Air Filters & Intakes which is:

http://mayhemracingperformance.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=1

Now on this page it is bare and I wanted like small borders or maybe even a design to structure the layout of the categories in that page something like this page I will show you the index page first then the first category clicked page..

index

http://osc.template-help.com/9173/index.php

then clicked on accessories:

http://osc.template-help.com/9173/index.php?cPath=48

Basically the design can be the same as the index page or basically you can design the layout of the category pages as well.

Now my questions is....in order to do this to design my own layout for each category page how do I do it, and can I make one that they all follow or different ones for each...and what variables do I add to the category pages?

Thanks for your help..

Also the java code that I need to install once sts is installed to fix the click to enlarge photo?

Thanks
