Buy gift voucher in one shop and use it in another one

Hi, all

 

I want to sell gift vouchers (or another type of virtual money) that can be used in several OsCommerce stores.

Theoretically it should be not that big task: I just need to share gift voucher IDs and their values between stores. The problem is to do it in a secure way and somebody has to implement the solution :)

 

Could anybody advice the practical way of sharing gift vouchers between stores? Any specific contribution?

Or if my stores are on the same physical machine, could two stores used the same user/gift voucher tables?
