hey guys i got 2 osc sites selling same stuff. Can any one please tell me how can i handle the stock sold and quantity left. Like if an item is sold on site 1 then site 2 still shows that item in stock.

i was thinking if their is any contribution made that can join the stock option for 2 stores? so like if i have sold a t-shirt in store one it automatically gets deducted from store 2 as well.

i have checked multi store contribution but its not for something like this.

any one please help me out.

Will be better for your stores to share the same dbase so I would expect the multi-store contribution to be adequate. Do you have different prices among stores?

for some items the prices are different. i am not sure how multi store contribution will work. i read the description of it and i think it says that that i gota install the contribution on one site and then can create another store from that site. But i already have 2 stores that are live and their design is totaly different. The database is also a bit different. Just the items are same but different pictures.

well the products_quantity column is used in the products and order_products sql tables in the dbase (those I briefly checked at least).

So the other alternative if you move those tables to a separate shared dbase be prepared for all kinds of changes around the osc files. And the price column is also on the same table. So you would have to create another table just for the stock and then modify plenty of files to access the 2nd shared dbase. It becomes too complicated to go down that path unless you have enough time and engineering resources.

IF I KEEP all the prices the same then what will be the best choice ? like i want to keep my current store designs just like they are.

Also i am willing to pay for this job , how much do you think i am looking at?
