Pictures and icons not showing up in Admin

None of my images or icons will show up in my admin anymore. I have no idea why though it's been this way for a good long time now. I've completely ran out of ideas as to how to fix the problem. I'm assuming it's somewhere in my admin/includes/configure.php but I can't seem to figure it out. Here's what's in there right now:

try this for the image path

 

instead of:

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG_IMAGES', DIR_WS_CATALOG . 'images/');

 

use:

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG_IMAGES', '../images/');
