Hello guys. This forum is great! especially this section.

To anyone who has a moment, I was wondering if you can go through the site and let me know what you think. I've been working on this site for a couple of weeks now that I bet I am missing something so simple to make this site look or function better. It's pretty much done. well... depending on what you all think. I just have to load up all the products.

This site is for my mom. She just makes all sorts of crazy things and wanted an outlet for her crafts. Also,

I am not a web developer by trade and this is my first shop so take it easy ok? :-)

Many Thanks.

looks like a template from mostertemplates.com

nice though

Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back!

Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you?

There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere.

great. is this a template.

How much did you pay for it.

where can i go to purchase it.

Yes its a template. I'm a firewall admin, not a web designer so I didn't even try. :-)

I got it from monster templates.com. I paid $180 for it.

Ya, I would say the template looks really nice. It's a shame that it isn't an original design, because I would be really impressed. I would say it's time to populate some of those fields. It's hard to tell what's going on where there are no products loaded.

On some of your images, you could really reduce the size by using the save for web function through photoshop, or if you don't have photoshop, Paint.NET provides a pretty good image optimization saver.

Good choice of templates, it looks good.

osCommerce is a great piece of software with wonderful contributions.

Spend some time in the contribution area. There are a lot of gems there.

Nice template. Been used a bit much but nice all the same.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Yeah I agree the template has been used a bit much but for people like me, who knows nothing about web designs... I thought buying templates is still a little more original than just changing header images and buttons.

Thanks Kim. LOL! You have no idea how useful your comment was. I didn't even think of that. I'll take the clock off when the store goes live. :-)

Believe it or not, even though this is "just" a template I still spent a considerable amount of time customizing the template. and learning osCommerce. Fresh set of eyes are invaluable.

Thanks again everyone. Especially to the osCommerce developers and to Joshua for that MoPics contribution I used on this site.

definitely got way in over my head, when i thought a website would be 'easy'! hah. anyway you are more than welcome to peruse my site in response. i'd appreciate any feedback.

i only wish i'd known about the templates when i started.

it's been an incredible learning experience. learning a whole 'nother language! arg.

my thread is somewhere near yours with the heart icon.

"here goes nothing". thanks in advance.
