Stylesheet & Appearance Problems

I'm having some problems with getting my site just as I want it. Right now i have two issues I can't seem to figure out, one being that the top text in the body of my page is set to the same color as my background color. I am assuming this is something that I need to edit on the stylesheet..however I can't seem to find which text color I need to edit. I am learning, php and all these things are very new to me. So does anyone have any suggestions? The area I'm talking about is if you go to a product page..its just above the product description, and on my page it includes the price (see Product Page if you try to highlight the text on the page you will see where the 'hidden' text is).

My other issue is the title bar on the browser window still has OsCommerce on it. I do not know how to edit that to the name of my store. I found a small bit of documentation on it however every single time i tried to edit what it advised me to edit, I wound up breaking my site (it completely went down & only displayed an error message) no matter how careful i was. I could never recover it once that happened so I always ended up redoing it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Any help would be VERY appreciated!!! :D

Thank you so much!! I got the color of the text changed..but now I have run into another problem :/ (I swear I must be an accident waiting to happen when it comes to this sort of thing :P ) I was trying to edit the text in those top lines (the ones you just told me how to change the colors for) and I changed 2 lines and it broke my site again so I went back and undid what i did and it still doesnt work :( I even went so far as to create a new site, and copy and paste the text over what i changed so it would be exactly as it was when i first created the store, and that didnt work. I was editing that from catalog/includes/languages/English/index.php

The 2 lines i edited were:

all i did was change 'what's new here' to 'welcome to Classy Swish' and on the second one i changed 'Let's See What We Have Here' to 'Product List' and that made my site start coming up as an error :/

This seems to be what usually happens to me. Also I just went in and did the title change like you said, but I am almost certain that's what I did before and I had the same result as I am having now after editing the above text. Each time I changed the title it seemed to break the site. here's whats there now:

Looks like you have a problem with the english.php page. Can you post that page here please.

It looks like you removed the preceeding slashes before your apostrophes.

Which program are you using to edit your files? The reason I ask is because whatever you are using is removing some formatting and some of the symbols that you need. That is why you are having problems with other portions of your files even though you are not modifying them, and why you have to keep reinstalling OSC. Stick to notepad, it is pretty safe. Some other, especially Word or Frontpage have a tendency to remove and add symbols. I ran a file compare program and there wer several slashes that were removed, even after you said you added them back. Why don't you find the files

/includes/languages/english.php

and /includes/languages/english/index.php

in the zip for for osCommerce and re-extract them.

Remember, stick to Notepad and you will be on your way.
