How configure e-mail in my oscommerce?

Hello,

I can not send e-mail or newsletter in my oscommerce and when user register whe dont recived the confirmation e-mail.. sorry my enghish but i portuguese :)

Can give my help?

Go to Configuration/My Store and make sure your email address is entered correctly.

 

If that is correct, try Configuration/E-mail options and make sure the settings are ok

thanks sandown for help me.. but the configuration is OK I put my e-mail:

E-Mail Transport Method: smtp (my server work's in windows)

 

E-Mail Linefeeds: CRLF

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails: true

Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS: true

Send E-Mails: true

 

For exemple and i click in "Password forgotten?" the oscommerce says " SUCCESS_PASSWORD_SENT" but the password never goes to my e-mail...

 

I need configuration smtp server in another file?

I alredy put the e-mail in admin options and I can not send e-mail my oscommerce site doent's send any kind o e-mail :(

Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS: false

 

and make sure that when you enter the e-mail address that you don't do it as recommended e.g. Sales<[email protected]>, just use [email protected]

I 'am using XAMMP to control my server... i need configurated in server or the e-mail configuration need to be configurated only in oscommerce?

If this is a local install using XAMPP then you need to start Mercury Mail for the e-mail system to work. It is not started by default.
