Guest
As additional of English, I created a new language file set (all required files are translated) and created/defined in Admin as default, but still when opening the store it shows in English by default (except when clicking the flag, it changed). As I would expected it should be in default language (in this case new language), shouldn't it? Something I missed out?

In which language your shop opens also depends on the browser settings for languages. In Firefox it can be set through Tools->Options->General->Languages and with IE through Tools->Interneta Options->General->Languages. The top most language there will make your site open in that language if available. So even if your default language is set to ie. Dutch and your customer has it's top most browser language set to English the site will open in English and not Dutch whether it is set to default in osC or not. I tried, it works, though that involves manual change. Most of my users I believe are still using English by default. I'm wondering if there's a trick to detect by GeoIP, where it will use/switch automatically the new language as default (only on first/home page) if the user access from the related country, otherwise it will display in English. After then I think it has been managed by PHP session/cookie.
