When I go to my file manager for configure.php - where/how do I change the permissions? In the configure.php file?

Which file manager are you using? I'm not sure if you can do it from the admin/config/tools/file manager, so I've been using the file manager on my ftp account with my host to change all the permissions. I just go to that file manager and highlight whatever file I want to change and click chmod.

I'm testing my site on my PC and to change permissions I use the dos command cacls. If you're in the catalog directory, you can write:

>cacls * /T /E /G Everyone:F

 

That is like a chmod 777 *.* in unix.
