10% discount on 1st order for customers

I require to give customers 10% discount on their 1st order, I looked at the credit class and gift voucher type contribution but it seemed a bit advance for what i needed and couldnt see how it would help me.

 

Any one know of another contribution which will easily allow me to give this discount on 1st orders?

With a little adaption you could use this contiribution to give a percentage discount on the first order.

There is a function available called tep_count_customer_order which you can use to write a simple check. As this contribution is an order total module it is very easy to use also.

Thank you pointing me in the right direction is it possible you or anyone could give me a bit more help as i only have small amount of php knowledge and wouldnt really know where to start in adapting this code to suit my needs.
