is it safe to remove the countries from admin?

Hi,

 

can anyone tell me if i would be able to delete all the countries from within admin and add uk countries with their codes (england, scotland etc..). this wouldn't mess anything up would it???

if you haven't added any zones to them while intending to use them (like UK), you can delete them. If zones are attached the countries_id must be linked to the zones table countries_id.

 

If you already have zones attached, do not delete/recreate or the id will be different and not joining anymore

thank you for your reply.

 

i have installed some zones...the uk ones so now all uk counties are within the zones categories and these are the only ones that display on the create_account page.

 

is this what you meant?

can i delete the countries other than uk safely?

you are safe to delete all usused countries and zones
