Do you have an account with a hosting company to host your site? If you do, check in your control panel with them. Many will have an option to allow you to install the oscommerce shop with just a few clicks. Once you get the shop up and runining, you will need to read as much as you can about what is needed. The best source is here on the forums.

You will need to install a server setup on your computer. Give EasyPHP or XAmpp a try. They are easy to setup.

I know because I saw it - and I can really recommend it.

It will explain every step, installing locally, modifying, contributions etc etc. Read through the teaser text!
