osCommerce

Can I do this with osCommerce??

Hi,

Here is what I am trying to do:-

User from Company A registers, submit design of t-shirt, and once the t-shirt goes on-sale, I want the user to be able to track how many t-shirts (company A) has sold.

I was thinking of making a standard form that the user can fill-in and once the design is done, I don't mind setting up the account via the admin menu. (Am I making any sense???)

BTW are there any mambo/joomla users here? I am interested to find out whether Joomla and osCommerce intergrate.

Thank you. :thumbsup:

This would need to be custom coded from the ground up. I dont think that any of the xisting contribs (that I know of anyway) could be tweaked for these purposes...but of course, I could be wrong....yell me if i can be any help.

Please note - if I have suggested a contrib above, it doesnt mean it will work! Most of the contribs are not ones I've used, but may be useful for your particular problem....

Have you tried a refined search? Chances are your problem has already been dealt with elsewhere on the forums.....

if (stumped == true) {

return(square_one($start_over)

} else {

$random_query = tep_fetch_answer($forum_query)

}

definitely custom coding, but not that bad ... if you assign a designer to a design ... I assume that is not doen yet either?

... when it goes on sale in the database the product has a dropdown where you select that designer in admin, after each sale the designer could get an email or even better have a mini-admin for him where he can view his stats and possibly even create his designs.

Sounds like fun if you ask me!

I only use osC for anything so no input on the others ...

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I really apprecaite your help.

Monika,

Thats exactly what I am trying to do. It would be great if there was a min-admin for desgners to check how many t-shirts they have sold. I just need to display the number of t-shirts sold.

Do you think its possible to modify oscommerce to do what I want??

I don't want to get a custom script, since it would be very expensive.

I am suprised no one has attempted to do something like this before.

  • 2 weeks later...

I was wondering if there were any responses to the last part of the first post. Is there any way to integrate with Joomla? I'm attempting to put a site together (using different scripts) and integrate the entire thing so members won't have to register for each part. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about programming or scripting to try and put it together yet.
