Register globals problem

Hi

 

help me please my hosting company has just moved me to a new server and now i am getting this error message when i try to view site

 

"FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!"

 

please note i am complete novice at all this so if you can help please speak in english and slowly.

go to contributions (link in java menu above) and search for register globals patch by vger. install it and all will be well.

thank you i have been in contributions vger doesnt have one but i have found one. however it just seems to be a file and it does not say where to put it or what to do with it. Thank you Monika as i said i am new at this only been doing it 3 months and never touched a computer till a year ago, so i apologise but i am just in a panic. I will read through vgers contribution and install when i have calmed down and can think properly. Again thank you for your time and patience.

I'm just soooooo mad at these hosts that do not announce such a change and leave shops hanging ... you are not the first person who cannot access her site and panicks, and it's totally unfair.

 

Download the compare and merge I use, it will help you a lot when adding the contribution.

Thought i would update you, i sent loads of emails to my hosting company and eventually they have sorted the problem for me. I think this was to shut me up basically but hey it worked. Once again thank you for all your help i now look like i should My Site .
