FixItPete Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I have already modified my index.html, etc. files and I want to us the SEO URL contribution. Found here: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...l/search,engine Is there a way I can find out how to do this? Thanks, Pete Duh, What I mean to day is, I would like to add the changes to my current files, and not simply overwrite what I have there now. Sorry for not explaining it right the first time. Pete Quote I find the fun in everything.
Jack_mcs Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 If the code is html that is being replaced, enclose the old code with <!-- and //-->. If it is php, enclose it with /* and */. That will disable the old code. FixItPete Posted October 17, 2005 Author Posted October 17, 2005 Hi, What I mean is, I want to compare my file to the new file and make the chages myself, rather than upload the "new" file for the mod. Thanks, Pete Quote I find the fun in everything.
Jack_mcs Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 A lot of contributions provide instructions as to what needs to be changed. If that one doesn't you will need to compare the files with a compare program like Winmerge or Comapre and Merge. You may want to look at the Ultimate SEO contribution. That has install instructions and works well with other contributions.
